NEW HYDE PARK, NY — A Nassau County law enforcement officer rescued 3 people from an eight-alarm blaze in New Hyde Park Sunday.

The hearth broke out inside the attic of a two-story Cape property on Flower Lane just just before 12 p.m., authorities said. Law enforcement said that heavy smoke was viewed “emanating from all home windows of the home” as 3rd Precinct Law enforcement Officer Pescatore arrived, and a “male” and “two woman inhabitants” had been introduced to protection outside the house. No more facts was offered from police.

The Nassau County Police Department does not release the first names of officers due to its privateness coverage.

No accidents were documented in the fireplace, which was brought beneath regulate by the New Hyde Park Fire division, as properly as seven other companies, police explained.

Other hearth departments that assisted with the fire included, Manhasset/Lakeville, Floral Park, South Floral Park, Mineola, Back garden City, Franklin Square, and Elmont Hearth Division, law enforcement mentioned. The Nassau County Law enforcement Arson Bomb Squad and the Nassau County Fire Marshall also responded to the hearth.

The investigation is ongoing.
